I am having trouble getting the default country to be United Sates when a user registers for my DNN site.

I am going to User Accounts>Manage Profile Properties> and then I am editing the Country Field and placing United States in the Default value. I also tried just putting US as the default value and that did not work.  I have not modified any of the country names or values in the drop down list.
Thanks

US not coming as default because Country value list contains "United States" not US.
To do this you can change the Country name in database to US presents in Lists table.

AFAIK default country is derived from your IP address.
