Hi,
I can't get all my +60 sub calendars visible in the main calendars (tried Event 5.0.2 and 4.0.2). Is there some limitation because it's the end of the alphabet (module names)  that seems to be missing. If so, where can I fix this?

Regards,

timov

Hi Timo,

Do you get some sort of error? I'd have to look in the code, but I'd expect there is some sort of limit in there. Probably only because that was the way it is written. I'd guess at looking in the EventsGetByRange sproc and the SplitIDs function called from that sproc.

Hi Roger,

thanks for your reply! No errors, just lacking the last sub calendars. I changed "Timo" calendar to "ATimo" and I got it to the main calendar. And if I drop some calendars in the middle I get the last ones. This is how I figured there could be a limit. Sorry to say but digging in the code so deep goes beyond my knowledge. Could it be that nobody has ever needed let's say 100 subcalendars? Maybe I should look for some other module?

Regards,

timov.

Hi Timo,

I would guess that no-one has used 100+ calendars. I'll have a look at the code and see it there is a work around. Other than that you would need to wait for a future release to raise the limit.

You are of course free to look for another module to meet your specific needs .

It looks like the number of modules is limited by a 255 character string in which ModuleID is separated by a comma. So assuming all your modules are still in a three digit range, you should get 63 sub-calendars. I can provide you SQL to increase this number if you wish. There is another piece of code that limits it at 500 characters which would also need changing if you wanted to go higher.
