Hey Community,  Hope everyone is going/did have a great Thanksgiving for those here in the US.  I'm really hoping someone could give me a hand with this.

I'm not sure if anyone else is experiencing this issue, but I thought it may be worth a hit in the forums to see if someone is.

When I add a new page, I'm not able to assign permissions to that page.  For example, if I create a new page (which by default is admins only), I cannot add a group, or change it to everyone for viewability.

So effectively I cannot add new pages.

I reported it here: in Jira, but there have been no updates, and I still cannot modify this permission.

I've even re-installed the update in order to ensure a file was not missed or something.

 Thanks!

Dustin

DNN 7 is  out of beta - please use another forum next time..

When creating a new page, there should be a second tab "permissions", if using IconBar control panel, there should be a dedicated link in page dropdown on the right hand side.

Permission tab should show DNN permission grid, where you should be able to grant or deny view and edit permissions. Note: this option is disabled for Host menu pages.

Sebastian,

I agree with you that this is how it should work.  However, here is the scenario:

1.  When I create a new page, and click the permissions tab I see the grid, but I cannot click on any of the groups to add permissions.

2.  I did find a work around by going to the 'Page Management' portion in the portal, and I could edit permissions there.

So, it appears to only be an issue when attempting to modify permissions on within the Page permissions page, or within the page itself, but within the admin tool panel from Page Management it works fine.

Ideas?  Also, I am aware that 7.0 is out of beta, but given 7.1.2 was just recently released and the fact that I still had the posted bug report open, I thought this was the appropriate forum.  I will post elsewhere going forward.

Thanks!

Dustin

Dustin,
did you check, that this behavior does occur even with default skin and container?

Thanks for the reply Sebastian,

Using Aphelia-three column skin and aphelia -title container.

However, just to re-solidify my theory after I just read your post I spun up a new parent portal with a blank site, and all I did was add 1 new page called test, and tried to edit the permissions the 'normal' way via the grid under page permissions from the edit menu, and nada, it didn't work.

However, again, doing so via the admin menu does work.  If you would like to test this yourself, send me a message with a good contact e-mail and I will send you temporary credentials to attempt it yourself on the test site.

Thanks!

Dusitn
