I'm beginner to Dotnetnuke, i found a problem when i try use core search function to search chinese words.

does anybody can help me solve this problem, i remember this problem can be solved by change sql procedure "getsearchresultsbyword" at dnn older version 6.x

DNN 7 uses lucene.Net (https://lucenenet.apache.org/) for search, maybe you google for Chinese support of it

it's a limitation of lucene in that it doesnt work by default -you have to use a custom lucene analyzer to get it to work, please see Ben's comments @ https://dnntracker.atlassian.net/brow... (note: we're looking for a better solution for this)

IMO, requiring a host setting seem to be a problem for sites, which support both, Chinese AND English (or another latin) language.

i agree -but it's a lucene issue and not a DNN one , and we're trying to generate a workaround
