I have been looking throuigh source code and it appears that the RadEditor provider has a public string to accept the name of a tools file so that a module could have a specific toolbar without changing the entire install in the web.config.

I have tried a few things here and looking through code it appears that the tool file has to be something like example.registered.portalid.0.xml when you tell the toolsfile parameter example.xml -

I have tried about every location in the website and no file is ever picked up and used by the editor -

Anybody got any ideas on what works here or where that tools xml file needs to be?

Hello Dylan,

In the Host > HTML Editor Manager, you can create a copy of the configuration and bind it directly to a portal or tab. These files are created in ~\DesktopModules\Admin\RadEditorProvider\ToolsFile.

An example of a tools file binded to portal 0 and registered users: ToolsFile.Registered.PortalId.0.xml
