Hello Everyone,

We are facing a lot of issue with all our dnn website from version 6 and 7

it keep save log on database and page history log and that increase the database size.

Are there any issue or bug related to log with old DNN version?

How we can solve that without rebuild the website again with new version?

Regards

If your log tables are filling with entries, you should be able to clear the log tables in your database and that would reduce your site size. Have you tried clearing the entries from those tables yet?

Yes, but we are talking about lot of log every day, there should be a way to stop these log especially the page history.
bandwidth and space for database are increased unreasonably.

Maybe check out Mitchel Sellers and Iowa Computer Gurus website. I believe they had previously created a scheduled job that would go in and clean these tables at whatever interval you select for the scheduled job to occur.

Also, for the logs to be getting filled there may be errors occurring. Any specific module or page that is throwing errors that could cause this or do you just have a very highly trafficked website? If it is a module or theme causing the increased number of log entries then getting those fixed could assist.

Just thinking out loud here...

Hope this helps..

There is no page history besides view records in sitelog tables, you may turn off in Host > Host Settings.
Starting with DNN 7.4.0, Exceptions table get filled up as default DNN does not contain a cleanup option.
Check out my blog here on this site, how to remove obsolete entries (my TurboScripts contain automated maintenance)
