Bonjour Gilles,

For some reason, our store is not working. When I try to checkout and pay, Paypal kicks back a message saying "This invoice has already been paid" even though it has not been. And customers can download products - arg.

I've been going through Paypal doc about the IPN, and I think our issues are related. However, it's quite confusing.

I'm not sure what the verification or return url should be. Paypal just says to enter the url, but provides no explanation of how to determine the correct url.

Paypal also talks about installing a Listener Script. Do we need to do this or does the DNN Store mod handle that?

I can't find any info about the DNN Store mod and setting up the Paypal IPN properly.

I would greatly appreciate your help to get the store working asap.

Merci! :-)

Hi Tracy,

If PayPal tells you than an invoice is already paid it's because you have used the same order number probably with another ecommerce module or for your tests with the Store module. Please verify the date of the order number in your PayPal backoffice, it should be old. If you have used this PayPal account with another ecommerce system, it's possible than common order numbers was used by both solutions. In this case, you have to find in your PayPal backoffice the highest order number already used; then update the database 'seed' value. Please read this post for details.

From your PayPal account, you just have to activate IPN and enter the main url of your website (e.g.: http://www.mydomain.tld).

After several years of services dedicated to the community, I begin to be tired to read requests without any form of politeness.

Hello Mr. Gilles,

Hope you can find some time to point me in the right direction. I have the following last two problems with the deployment of my store:

1. PayPal Gateway SECURITY ALERT! -

An Instant Payment Notification (IPN) has been received from PayPal containing wrong information. This could be a possible fraud. Please consult your site log for details.

After reading several of your replys I tried - Payment Data Transfer allows you to receive notification of successful payments as they are made. The use of Payment Data Transfer depends on your system configuration and your Return URL. So I anwsered Yes to the switch and put my home return page in. I tried it without the Identity Token that PayPal says to use and got the message. I then tried to find out where to put this token and saw a place under Language Management, Store, Paypal Provider, Resource Name:IPNPOSTString.Text. Thinking this is where it goes I put the PayPal Token there. Still no luck so I put what was there back, "IPN POST String".

2. PayPal's application of taxes is working. But on the return back to my site and order details, the taxes don't show up. I am thinking it is related to this IPN somehow.

All and All store is a nice application and I am not changing. I have to turn taxes of though because of all the pricing communication between the store and customer.

Regards,

Greg

Hi Greg,

We have solved together your problem in private, but I provide here some direction for future readers! ;-)

1) You don't need to activate Payment Data Transfert at PayPal. You just have to activate IPN and to provide your website root url (e.g.: www.yourdomain.tld), that's all!

2) The new version 03.01.07 have a new Tax provider by country/region and postal code. You have to use the Store tax provider NOT the tax  computation that's available at PayPal.
