First off I'd like to say this is a great module for being free, and it obviously has a large group of users. I have installed it on DNN 6+ and everything seems to be working correctly.

I have downloaded and read both the DotNetNuke Store Installation Guide Rev 1.0.6.doc as well as the DotNetNuke Store Template Documentation Rev 1.0.12.doc, but there are some items that I cannot seem to find an answer to and was hoping I could get some guidance.

1. Are there any other help documents elsewhere that I did not find?

2. I see a CustomerDownloads.ascx file in the directory root, is the ability to configure downloads (to sell) as an option that I am overlooking somehow?

3. I installed the Store_03.00.00_Install, but I'd like to make minor changes here and there (only text messages mostly) and I have found most of the files to do so. However, I cannot figure out how to modify some elements on the account contact page (checkout), does this code only reside in files found in the source install?

Thanks in advance for any help that you may have regarding my requests.

Hi Larry,

You can find help for all core modules and DNN in the Online Help; from the menu to the left expand 'Building Your Site' then 'Using DotNetNuke Project Modules'.

You can sell 'Virtual Products' like documents or software with the Store module. In the Online Help, read at the minimum the section Setting Store Info then Adding a Virtual Product.

All strings from the module can be changed using the DNN Language Editor. Go to Admin > Language then click on the pencil in the 'System' column to the right. From the menu to the left, expand Local Resources > DesktopModules > Store and browse the files to find the string you search for. If you can't find what you need, please give me more details I will try to guide you.

After several years of services dedicated to the community, I begin to be tired to read requests without any form of politeness.

I have found nearly everything I was looking for - thanks for your help. However I am not sure how to remove countries from the COUNTRY dropdown on the Checkout Contact tab (I only want USA) or rename the REGION label to be STATE instead.

Hi Larry,

The simpler solution to limit countries in the listbox is to remove unwanted one from the system list (Host > Lists > Country). On the other hand, this list is shared with all modules then if you need a different set of countries for another module it will not works! Moreover, if you geoip file is up to date the country is automaticaly selected from the IP address of your visitors. Otherwise, you will have to change the module code.

Don't worry about the Region label, when 'United States' is selected in the contry list the label is changed to 'State' and the textbox is replaced by a listbox containing US States! :-) Again, those values come from the Host system list.
