Hi,

Newbie here, searched for this topic but nothing came back.

I've just installed DNN on Winhost, and it seems to install correctly, but all I am presented with at any url is

"No sites currently exist for this installation. - 503 Service Unavailable"

Any ideas what the issue might be?

Thanks

This is an issue that shouldn't occur, except in extreme circumstances. If this is a brand new installation, I'd suggest simply reinstalling the site. You may even want to delete and download the installation package over again. If this is an existing site, there may be some much more nefarious issues at work.

I had the same issue. Turned out that somehow the installation had not updated the HostSettings.ControlPanel setting to point at the new Persona bar - was still trying to use the old control panel which doesn't exist in a fresh DNN 9.1.1 install. I assume that is somewhere in one of the upgrade scripts as part of the install - haven't checked in detail...
Run this SQL to fix...
Update HostSettings SET HostSettings.ControlPanel = ‘DesktopModules/Admin/Dnn.PersonaBar/UserControls/PersonaBarContainer.ascx’ WHERE HostSettings.SettingName = ‘ControlPanel’;
(assumes of course that you have direct SQL access).

Thanks to Michael Hart for the pointer that enabled me to resolve the issue. http://www.dnnsoftware.com/answers/up...

Same here. Cloned git repo from https://github.com/dnnsoftware/Dnn.Pl... , built Solution, started install wizard, entered db data, finished wizard and was greeted with "DNN Error
No sites currently exist for this installation. - 503 Service Unavailable"

I tried updating HostSettings to new value for ControlPanel setting, restarting iis site and recycling AppPool but still getting same error message.

EventLog table doesn't have anything to help me with. Same with SiteLog table.

Any clues ?

sounds like an issue of the source code repo, which might not include latest template. are you using DNN 9.1.1 or 9.2.0?
