Here is some stream of consciousness. Take it for what you will ...

I just checked a site that was upgraded from 7.2.2 to 9.1.0.

I am able to add pages and modules. So, I would have to assume that this has something to do with your site, and isn't necessarily a DNN 9.1.0 issue.

I don't have any really good ideas, but the old standby is to ask if you are using a custom or third party skin. If so, you might want to switch the page to a standard skin and see if that helps. And, if you have any other clues, let us all know.

And double check to make sure that there were no upgrade issues logged.

Thanks Joseph for the quick reply.

Yes, I am using custom skin. Since I am new to DNN, can you please let me know how to switch the page to a standard skin?

I was facing the issue while upgrading to 8.0.3 and getting error while installing Google analytics component, it stuck during the installation and didn't complete However, it installed database changes successfully.

Thanks,
Kumar

Same Problem here:  Following the upgrade to 9.1.0 I can not install extensions.   I cannot get past the file upload part, the site throws a something went wrong at the 95% upload process.   error - An unknown error has occured. Please check your installation zip file and try again.

Common issues with bad installation files:  shows a list of common errors.  The module I am trying to install is well within the size limits.

I wanted to provide my update - I solved my issue:  I upgraded another  site to 9.1.0 and during the install noticed the installer never reached 100% but the site still came up as normal when you browsed to it.  I investigated and found some of the modules did not install/upgrade.   I simply browsed back to the install path and went through the motion of the upgrade again, I did this twice and finally - it works as expected, and now the upload install extensions work as expected.
