For some time I have been experiencing the following issue:

When accessing things such as module setting or edit screens that open in a modal popup, the popup window location seems to be determined based on the height of the page rather than the viewport resolution. Because of this on pages with a lot of content the windows will open outside the viewable region or at the extreme bottom. In most cases, the pop can be grabbed and pulled back into the viewable area.

However, this is not always the case and is very annoying. Anyone know how to fix this issue?

I tried overwriting the css top attribute to be a fixed number of pixels. That seemed to work at first. Then when I tried to use the file upload tool it was above the top of my page.

It must be something "in" or "missing from" my skins that causes this. I switched to a Minimal Intropy skin and the HTML Edit popup positioned correctly in the center of the visible screen at around top: 320. In my skin it was top:900.

Since this is obviously a skin issue and no one was responding, I tried to post this in the proper category. However, they chastised me for double posting and deleted the one that was in the proper category... not this one! Nice!
