Hi I switched on User Email as Username, it looks ok, but I guess what is happening behind the scene, is the email is copied to the Username field. Hence, if one changes the email in future, he want be able to login with the new-email-as-username, he has to remember the original email using which he had registered.

Also, once the User-Email-As-Username is checked, DNN should force the Unique Email Checkbox set to true too.

AFAIK both options don't affect existing user accounts.
You might need to adjust all existing user accounts yourself

That's the big downside of using email as user name. To the best of my knowledge, once you create a username, you can't change it. This does't matter whether it is an email address or not. I think you can get a custom registration module that allows you to log in with email - separate from a user name.
