The DotNetNuke Wiki is moderated primarily by members and volunteers of the Reference Team.

Guidelines

Moderators should follow these basic guidelines for community contributed content. These guidelines are subject to frequent update.

Consistency in Article Formatting

Moderators will edit content to ensure consistency throughout the wiki. The Example_Article will provide the basis for consistency across articles. If moderators have questions about specific cases of formatting, they should inquire in the (private) Reference Team forum. Consistency should be achieved in both page layout and article formatting (including proper formatting of internal and external links, etc).

Removal of Blatant Self Promotion or Advertisement

Moderators should remove blatant self-promotion or advertisement. All content is contributed by the community and all community members are credited in a consistent manner by acknowledging cross posted content or acknowledging edits in the Community Recognition System. Content should be objective and informational, never inflammatory or opinionated. No "recommendations" for products or services.

  • User documentation of 3rd party modules (Extension Forgehosted or commercial) is acceptable, however marketing oriented documentation is not. The kind of content one might find in a users manual is acceptable, however the kind of content one might find on a listing in Snowcoveredis not.
