Installing via User Interface

Browse to Admin > Languages
  • On a DNN 5.5+: Click on "Install Language Pack"
  • On a DNN < 5.5, select "Install Language Pack" from the Actions Menu
  • Choose the ZIP file for uploading and follow the wizard.

Batch Install from File System

If you have a number of language packs (and modules, skins or other extensions) to add to your DNN installation, you may place the install packages (with .zip file extension) in /install/languagepack (or /install/module, /install/skin,...) folders of your website using ftp or rdp (this is not supported by the built in DNN file manager).
Browsing Afterwards to /insta/install.aspx?mode=install.resources will install all packages in the install folder in one batch.

IMPORTANT: Before installing the language pack, the module must be already installed on the DNN instance, and the target 'core' language must be already installed in the DNN instance.
Otherwise, installing the Language Pack will fail.
