Advanced

DotNetNuke includes a help system, consisting of built-in help texts and deep links into an extended online help. Both may be used to get assistance for using any of the parts of DNN. For development and technical resources check out articles in the wiki.

Built-in Help

Built-In help might provide a brief summary text per module control and a field level help for any input text. Module help might be accessed by using the appropriate item in module action menu (if availabe), help summary for module specific settings are accessible via a help link just beneath the section title. Field level help is accessible using a help icon aside the field caption or field itself. These texts are originally provided by the developers, other languages are provided by translators within the language pack for DNN Core Framework or extensions.

Online Help

This help catalogue is maintained by DotNetNuke Corp. on www.dnnsoftware.com (currently in English language only). Texts in online help are more or less the same as the users and superusers manual, created by DNN documentation team. Each text covers a module or module control of the core framework or formerly included modules. To access online help, select proper item in module action menu or call it from the control panel within your DotNetNuke website.
