 Hi,

Is it possible to make the DNNTree auto collapse the nodes other than the clicked node ? Please let me know how this can be done especially when the Tree option LoadFromClient is ON. i.e. Entire tree is loaded at client.

Regards,
     Vishwanath

I'm not sure I understand your question.   If it is not a user action that causes the node to collapse, what else would it be?  The user can click the +/- image they can click the node, they can use the keyboard arrow keys.

If you are asking whether or not a node can programmatically be collapsed, the answer is yes.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. You have understood the question correctly. I want to achieve following.

I am generating my tree from Client. That is I have my entire Tree nodes loaded on client.  I have 'X' node open on the tree. The requirement is when I click on 'Y' node, two actions should take place.

a) X node should collapse
b) Y node should open

I am able to perform the task "b" since it is an inherent nature of the tree to open the node on which the user has clicked. But I am not able to figure out how to collapse the node that was currently open prior to performing task 'b'. So that, the user do not have to click on the previously opened node to collapse it. In this way, at a time only once node will remain open.

Thanks,
Vishwanath

The tree control has an API that is accessible from the client javascript.  Take a look at the documentation here.

Though not exactly the same issue, I do provide some code in this forum post that could be adapted to suite your needs.
