We're in the process of moving one of our sites  to SSL. And we're at the part where we're dealing with subportals. We found a great article on dealing with Search Engine Optimization on multisite instances:

But the article has reference to instructions from Bruce Chapman that leads to a dead site:

Any other source for the "straightforward" process to set up robots.txt? TIA!
