Hi everyone,

I noticed a folder on our DNN site (7.03.04) -- portals/0-System/cache/Pages/ currently has 1175 files dating back to 2015. What are these file for and is it safe to delete them? I ask because I am trying to track down an error that our cloud based file backup service is throwing and the issue seems to be a file or files within this folder.

Thanks.

As a follow-up...

I also have 3 other DNN sites (same DNN version) hosted at PowerDNN (now Managed.com) and those sites have zero files in the portals/0-System/cache/Pages folder.

Is the use of that cache folder something that is configured through the hosting account or does DNN manage the folder? If it is DNN then does anyone know to how to keep these files from being written to the system? It seems from my conversation with the hosting provider for the site with 1175 (now 1185) files in the cache folder is that the large number of files along with their small size (most are only 21 bytes) is causing the backup routines (that work via ftp) to timeout.

Thanks again for any suggestions offered.
