Mark,
please be more specific on your needs.

classing URLs are not common any more, what do you want to achieve specifically?

Sebastian,

It is a project requirement that we try to remove the URL rewriting for our site.

For example instead of seeing something like this...

http://TestSite:1111/TestArea/TestModule/d/t/x/1

...they would rather see something like this...

http://TestSite:1111/TestArea/TestModule.aspx?d=t&x=1

...etc, plus all the "hidden" query string variables that Dnn uses should be shown too on the URL line itself...

...so that is the story...

...basically, it is just "turn off URL rewriting" requirement....

...do you know how URL rewriting (AKA "friendly URLs") can be switched on/off in Dnn 8?

Please advise.

Thanks.

this is an rewritten URL as well - the original URL would be http://TestSite:1111/default.aspx?tabid=121&d=t&x=1
You need to switch urlFormat value in web.config file from "advanced" to "humanfriendly".
