I am in a learning mode here.  Decided to tackle module development but am having trouble with something which I think is probably very basic.  Until now I have avoided Github except as a place from which to download installation files.
The question is "where do I put it?"  Where within the DNN installation do I put the files downloaded (or cloned) from Github, How do I add the module as an extension to my local DNN installation and keep it all in sync while I make changes to the downloaded extension?  There is some information on creating a module from scratch using the templates, etc., but i could find nothing on dealing with an existing module.  Anyone have any suggestions or  references?

For an existing module I always try to start with the _SOURCE package for that module, if available.

If that's not available, I would do something like the following:

Install GIT For Windows
Load GIT BASH
CD c:
CD websites\dnndev.me\desktopmodules
git clone https://github.com/ChrisHammond/Engag...

That will pull down the files into /desktopmodules/Engage-Publish

Now, with EP in particular, the folder needs to be /desktopmodules/EngagePublish so I manually renamed that folder on the file system.

From there, open up the SLN in Visual Studio.
