I upgraded my test site recently and the upgrade was successfull. Upon going back to the home page, I started getting this error message:

This page isn’t working

domain.com redirected you too many times.

Try clearing your cookies.

ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS

I have another portal in the DNN instance, I am able to get to the homepage of this portal but all other pages brings up the Too many redirects error. I have tried all the solutions in many forums to resolve the issue to no avail.

Help is appreciated. Thank you.

I'm trying to upgrade to 9.2 as well and have run into the same issue. I'm going from 8.0.4 to 9.2. I can sucessfully upgrade to 9.1.1 without any issues. When I upgrade from 9.1.1 to 9.2 or 8.0.4 to 9.2 I get the too many redirects error on every page.

I'm having the same issue on one of the sites I mange. It is currently on 8.0.4 and when I try to upgrade to 9.2 I get the too many redirects error. I upgraded the site to 9.1 and it worked fine. I then tried to upgrade from 9.1 to 9.2 and I get the same issue.

I ran in to this very problem last night. Fortunately, I had a backup and was able to roll back to DNN 9.1.1. I tried it again this morning, but before doing so I disabled the "Redirect to Friendly URLs" setting in SEO. This time, upgrade went off without a hitch, though it took a LONG time to bring the site back up after the upgrade itself completed in under a minute. Once I had the site back up and running in DNN 9.2, I re-enabled the "Redirect to Friendly URLs" setting, and everything works as before. I have no earthly idea if that was the problem, but it worked for me!

Hi Ken,

Are you referring to the setting in web.config where you set HumanFriendly vs Advanced for the friendly urls or is that a setting on a page in the persona bar?
