I don't see how to remove a Theme package from DNN 9.

It looks like the only option is to install a theme.  I need to fully remove Generic 4 and refund it.

How does one remove a Theme?

Thanks,

Mike Durthaler

More info -- 'Themes' is not showing in the list to be selected. Not sure why that is.

That is, in Extensions / Installed Extensions / Showing: , when the drop down list is expanded, the only choices are:

Modules
Authentication Systems
Containers
Core Language Packs
Extension Language Packs

Nothing else. I found an article 'Themes: deleting themes from Extensions list doesn't fully remove it, it needs to be also manually removed from Manage>Themes list' -- OK, that's where I can see every theme on the site with no way to remove anything.

Can't seem to locate the full DNN version number but it is 9.

Hmm, I think you are right, I didn't notice that yet.
Seems like the only option right now is to remove the files and run some sql script.

Timo,

Thanks for the response.  Part of the issue was having to remove where the theme was applied at the page and module level so that the trash can icon would appear.

That's been done, the trash can icon now appears. :)  But ... when it's used, the alert that the theme was installed as a package now comes up and it says to remove the them in Extensions.  But ... it's not in Extensions :)

Do you have the SQL Tables / Query handy to remove themes at the DB level by any chance, or some pointers to get me to the right place where I can pick up the ball?  I know generally how to go about this but don't want to backup, restore, try unsuccessfully, restore, retry ... rinse, lather, repeat.   If I can get what tables and dependencies to work with or most of them, I can take it from there.

Thanks,

Mike Durtahler

I did not try but I think the stored prodecure "DeletePackage" should do the trick.
