Hi, I'm running DNN 9.1 using CK Editor, and I would like to be able to create a link in .html which specifies one of our domains. What is happening now, is that when I put a fully qualified URL in to the link href , the editor changes it to the primary domain name. IS there a way to turn that function off so that I can specify the exact domain I want the link to point the browser to?

Thanks

Thanks

Tom

Tom,

I tried to, but I cannot reproduce this behaviour. Is the web site you want to link to a portal in the same DNN installation?

Happy DNNing!

Thanks Michael,
It's actually all within the same portal. I have two portal aliases ('http://sccintranet/' which is primary, and 'http://sccintranet.co.santa-cruz.ca.us') . For this particular link, I would like to specify it to always go to the fully qualified one ('http://sccintranet.co.santa-cruz.ca.us' ) . Even when i add the link manually as .html code in the HTML module, it always changes the link to point to the 'http://sccintranet/' version. Is there a way to turn that behaviour off in the CK Editor?
Thanks
Tom

Looking at this again, it looks as though it is not the CK Editor  that is the issue. It's just that DNN automatically changes links that are explicitly pointing to one of the domains (ie 'sccintranet.co.santa-cruz.ca.us') and  points them to whatever domain you are already on (ie 'sccintranet'). Which makes sense to minimize switching between domains, possibly having to re-log in, etc.

However, I would like to override this and force it to load the specified domain in this instance, if possible (even if it means the person has to log in again). Is this possible?

Thanks

Tom

if you enter fully qualified URLs, it will use the domain you are including.
