I'm trying to move a DNN 7.3.2 site to a test server prior to doing an upgrade.

After doing the move, fixing connection strings, etc. the site is throwing errors like:

DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.PageLoadException: Unhandled error loading page. ---> System.Web.HttpParseException: The file '/DesktopModules/TAC_NPICustomSkinTokens/HomeLink.ascx' does not exist. ---> System.Web.HttpParseException: The file '/DesktopModules/TAC_NPICustomSkinTokens/HomeLink.ascx' does not exist. ---> System.Web.HttpException: The file '/DesktopModules/TAC_NPICustomSkinTokens/HomeLink.ascx' does not exist.

Now, the files do exist, and the files and the web directory have correct permissions.

What else might be causing this problem?

I deleted the website in IIS and created it again. That solved the problem.

I think that the existing website had something in it that caused the problem, but all is well now.
