I have a live DNN install with several portals that work fine.
One portal has two domain aliases, say www.sitename.co.uk and www.sitename.com
My intention is to separate the www.sitename.com into a separate portal.
So I removed the alias sitename.com from the original portal.

I added a new portal with the new www.sitename.com and a new admin account as requested in the add form.

The new portal was successfully added. When I go to www.sitename.com I could now see the Getting Started DNN site that loads by default. When I go back to www.sitename.co.uk, that works fine too. So all was good so far.

Next, I decided to login with the admin account and start the process of setting up the site. I go to login page, I enter as the admin account just created but then page throws the following error, that www.sitename.com redirected you too many times. Chrome then shows the following error for the site and I cannot access the site at all unless I close the incognito browser and open it again. If I login again I will get the same error.

This page isn’t working
www.sitename.com redirected you too many times.
Try clearing your cookies.
ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS

By the way, I could register as a normal user on this new site and then login successfully! This worked fine. It is just I cannot login as admin or superuser without getting the too many redirects error on this new portal.

Appreciate any advice.
Using DNN 6.2.9
I also have ifinity URL installed in case it helps to know.
