Hello:

I need to add a new page for a attorney bio. The site already has bio pages for the other attorneys. I want to use one of them as the template for this new bio page. How can I do that? I'm using this system for the first time and I'm very unfamiliar with it.

Hello Scott:

We help our clients with this all of the time, but the answer is that it depends. It depends on how the page is put together, but more specifically, what module(s) make up the attorney bio.

Ideally, you'd simply be able to save the page as a template, and then use the template when creating the next page.

Even more convenient, hopefully, the person that created the original page with the bio's used a module that doesn't require that you actually create a page.

Do you happen to know how this page is put together? Also, which version of DNN is it? The way you'd do this is much different between 9.xx and all earlier versions.

I looked for the version of the Admin CMS but not able to locate it.

Scott,

I believe you will need to logon using an account with host privileges. If the DNN Admin bar is at the top of the website then you are running a version less than 9. To find the version go to the Host > Host Settings page. View the Basic Settings Tab and click on Configuration.

If the Admin bar is on the left side of the website then just hover over the DNN logo in the top left corner.

The word Admin is at the very top right of any page. Nothing on the left side. I wasn't given host privileges. All I have is a login to edit. At the very top left I see Mode: View, Edit, Layout.
