How do we configure DNN 9 to not remove GCLID query parameters from the URL? We tried changing the:

Keep in Querystring Regular Expression

To:

/nomo/\d+|/runningDefault/[^/]+|/popup/(?:true|false)|/(?:page|category|sort|tags)/[^/]+|tou/[^/]+|(/utm[^/]+/[^/]+)+|/gclid/[^/]+

Based on snippets from previous DNN versions, blogs etc but that does not seem to have any affect at all?

Anyone know how to get DNN9 to work with GCLIDs (or a better way of achieving the same)?

Thanks.

If we change this setting "Redirect to Friendly URLs" to false, the query parameters work, and I can't see any obvious downside when looking at the links in the browser with it disabled. But I am still unsure what the effects of this change would be? Documentation is very limited on this, basically just repeats what is said on the admin page already.

Regarding original question, I've seen several other posts about changing the reg ex having no effect, like this one:

(We have confirmed that in the Web.config we have advanced URL mode as is default now)
