Hi Everyone,

I recently rearranged some pages on a DNN 7.4.2 site I manage and used Google to list the pages it has indexed (using the site: search option). I noticed that Google had the original "GettingStarted.aspx" page indexed / listed and was viewable  (not hidden or set as admin only access).

How do I delete, disable, hide or limit this "Getting Started" page from being indexed or accessible?

Thanks!

Jim

Jim,

I believe you could update the page permissions to only allowing it to be accessible by Admins and that may fix it.

Also, you could update the PAGE SETTINGS > ADVANCED > OTHER SETTINGS > ALLOW INDEXING as denoted in the below image to be unchecked.

Hi Clinton,

Thanks much. I had looked through the pages shown in the Page Management section and overlooked the "Getting Started" page because it is the first page listed right above "Home" -- I thought it would be in the admin sub-section.

For the time being I just set it to admin only and turned off the "indexing" option (that one is new to me ;-) I suspect I can just delete it at a future date.

Thanks again!

Jim
