I upgraded a site from DNN 7.3.2 to 8.0.4

After upgrading, every page "loads" but shows this message instead of modules:

Module Load Warning One or more of the modules on this page did not load. This may be temporary. Please refresh the page (click F5 in most browsers). If the problem persists, please let the Site Administrator know.

I can't login, because this shows on the login page.

So, I went into the database and set every page so that the default skin and container were set to Xcillion skin and container.

That changed nothing, even after recycling  the app pool.

So ... I'm looking for some suggestions as to what might be wrong.  The site otherwise runs properly, in that the skin is rendered correctly ...

Digging into the event log ... I get a lot of these errors.

Value cannot be null. Parameter name: type
at System.Activator.CreateInstance(Type type, Boolean nonPublic)
at System.Activator.CreateInstance(Type type)
at DotNetNuke.UI.Skins.Pane.IsVesionableModule(ModuleInfo moduleInfo)
at DotNetNuke.UI.Skins.Pane.InjectModule(ModuleInfo module)
at DotNetNuke.UI.Skins.Skin.InjectModule(Pane pane, ModuleInfo module)

Still need some suggestions ...

Please go to the containers and remove solpart skin object from it and see.

there might also be an inconsistency in DNN metadata (packages - modules - moduledefinitions - modulecontrols)

Cheers from Germany,
