Every time we attempt to upgrade our site to DNN version 7.4.2 there is an error during the upgrade process that the "Security Analyzer" fails to install and then we get an odd "404 Error" on all pages and URLs after the upgrade finalizes. No other errors occur during the upgrade process and we are not sure why the Security Analyzer failing to install would cause this issue after an upgrade. Even if it fails to install we do not see why it would be causing "404 errors" .

VirtualMary,

Have you check out this blog "New Release of DNN Security Analyzer'" ? The blog speaks to errors found when upgrading to newer versions of DNN. Be sure to check out that "Upgrading to Newer Versions of DNN" section at the bottom of the blog.

Hope this helps!

first you should remove all .zip files from subfolders of /install (and I always remove all .resources packages as well).
Next download upgrade package, unblock in file properties and unzip. copy files over to your dnn website directory.
I suggest removing securityAnalyzer package from /install/modules now and run the upgrade.
if it succeeds, download latest version of Security Analyzer module and install as any other DNN extension.

Cheers from Germany,
Sebastian Leupold
