Just updated DNN site from v5 all the way through to v8.  Upgraded Newsletters module (v8.0) and have an issue in this Module: when a User (not an admin but has view rights on Module) looks up Roles to send to, nothing shows up.  If a host account does the same, all Portal Roles show up.  This wasn't default before - is there a way to set to allow lookup of Roles?

the module has been officially removed from the DNN distribution and needs to be downloaded and installed separately.
It looks like you did. are you able to check the database calls being made, when the newsletter module is loaded?

Sebastian - thanks for replying! Yes the upgrade went as planned and the new Newsletters module has been installed. The issue appears to be that if you are not an Administrator (at least for the Portal), then no Roles show up. Any ideas on how to rememdy? I saw something *somewhere* about this (limiting Security Role lookups to Admins), but cannot remember - we need for Non-Admins to be able to send emails to Groups. I have looked at the alternative modules but they are way to complicated for needs.

this sounds like a constraint of the module, I would need to have a look at its source code to identify the lines (sorry, it is too late tonight for it)

Sebastian,  I agree entirely.  I did a brief look via query analyzer and the query appears to pull the correct data so thinking its getting dropped in the iteration in the module.   I briefly looked at the codebase but didn't have a dev setup so can't step through it.
