When do you think this will be looked at?
It's been discussed here a number of times.
It's been entered into the bug tracker thing.
It's been reported by DNN that the problem couldn't be replicated, even though it's impossible to do this.
Is it that difficult to click on an option that says "Open Link In New Window" and then notice that in fact DNN doesn't do that? How can you not replicate that?
I'll explain again:
When you add a new page, select Ext Link as URL, Add URL and Name then TURN ON "Open Link In New Window". Then click on your new link and see that it doesn't "Open Link In New Window"!! Not too difficult.
If you can't give a rough idea when it will be looked at then an approximate year would do.

Did you try adding this as the url instead? (Also deselect' open in new window' option)

void(window.open('http://www.website.com'))

Hey Paul,
Are you using a the default DDR Menu or something else? Not sure if you realize this or not, but it's up to the Menu provider to actually support that setting. If the menu is ignoring that setting then no matter what we do it's not going to work. When we test it's always with the default install package.

Thanks,
Will

Hi Will, My skin says it's using DDR Menu.
I didn't create a bug report as one was already there from v7.1.2 which I updated. Looks like nothing has happened since.
https://dnntracker.atlassian.net/browse/DNN-26481
I also left a post here a few months back telling you I had updated the bug report but was not allowed to reopen it and could somebody else reopen it. Nothing happened.
Also the editor in this forum deletes lines when you press return and throws all manner of errors and the reason I couldn't create a proper link:
(Web.config registration missing!
The Telerik dialogs require a HttpHandler registration in the web.config file. Please, use the control's Smart Tag to add the handler automatically, or see the help for more information: Controls > RadEditor > Dialogs > Introduction)
(The resource you are looking for has been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.).
Do all these errors only happen to me or do you just not use your website or bother fixing problems with it? A great advert for your product.
