Hello,

I have a domain name and secured with SSL certificate. Ex: www.example.com
Then I have a sub-portal within the main portal. Ex: sub.example.com
Can we use the same SSL certificate to this subdomain too or do we have to buy a new SSL certificate for this as well? Please, can you advise?

Thank You!

I found this solution for now.
Purchased Wildcard SSL for all subdomains under one domain and setup subdomains for all sub-portals. Not sure if it is the best option. Somehow I enabled SSL for all 20 sub portals.
Thanks !

by default, a SSL certificate only secures the domains included, in most cases this include the base domain and www.
You need additional certificates for subdomains or use a wildcard certificate - this is by design of certificates (consider sub domains residing on different servers).
