I applied the DNNSecurityHotFix20171 update to a DNN 07.04.01 (280) host when it escaped a couple of weeks ago.  I have since noticed that the various ‘Manager’ options in the HTML content editor no longer work properly.  Clicking on virtually any of these such as Image Manager or Document Manager results in a virtually empty and largely inoperable popup window.  No objects appear in the frame but there is a count of pages and objects at the bottom of the frame.

 I don’t know that applying the update has triggered this annoying behavior.  I notice a couple of other folks reporting HTML module ‘features’ that seem to have been triggered by this hotfix.

 Has anyone experienced this and, more importantly to me, is there a way to get the HTML editor working again?  I have restarted the web and application pool to no avail.

 Thanks!

Hello, Sebastian!  You seem to always help me get out these situations.

 I believe the site is using the default HTML editor.  Here is what I believe is the right part of the Web.Config indicating the answer:

        <add name="DotNetNuke.RadEditorProvider" type="DotNetNuke.Providers.RadEditorProvider.EditorProvider, DotNetNuke.RadEditorProvider" providerPath="~/DesktopModules/Admin/RadEditorProvider" settingsControlPath="~/DesktopModules/Admin/RadEditorProvider/ProviderConfig.ascx" />

 If I have misunderstood the question or have looked in the wrong place, please, let me know.

 As always, your help is most appreciated,

don

Don,

Try this. Go to file manager. Click on the root folder. Look at permissions. Then just click save.

Sebastian, I am SOOO happy to see you back.
