Hi , I received a notice about a critical patch and installed it (Dnn_SecurityHotFix20171_01.00.01_Install.zip)

But when I try to install the patch on a page , nothing happens. (I've successfully installed an earlier patch (DNNSecurityFix1_01.00.00_Install)

Anyone know what is going on? What should I do?

Hi Tom,

I'm having the same or similar issue.  On upload of the "module" on the first step of the wizard, I immediately get a 500 error.  I was able to successfully install a module last week and went ahead and installed the Security Analyzer just now.  But when I try the Security Patch, I get the 500.

Is anyone able to successfully install?

Tom,

We figured out the issue.  Our Max upload size was set at 12MB and the security fix was just a bit larger.  Once I increased the limit by taking these steps, http://dnn.ly/MaxUpload I was able to successfully install.

HI,
My problem seems a bit different . I was able to install the module with no problem, and I can see it in Extensions. But I'mt unable to place it on a page. When I try to do so nothing happens. Not sure how to use the patch. When I look at it in Extensions , it's not in use. When I installed the previous patch I was albeit to place it on a page and got the "you are patched" message .
We're you able to do so?

Hi Tom,

I'm not positive, but I assumed the installation of the extension/module was all we needed to do.

Can anyone confirm that?
