Under DNN 7.x, it was easy to change a site skin/theme by just going to Site Settings and finding the skin you wanted to change.

In DNN 9.x, the admin menus have changed.  Skins/Themes no longer appear under Site Settings, and seem to have a separate menu now called "Themes".  I can see Xcillion listed there, as well as the new Themes I uploaded with the extensions manager.  I select one of my new themes, and that theme now has a little check box on it implying that it is the new Default Theme, but when I leave this page or logout, I still see Xcillion as the site's theme.  How do I change the theme of my site to be something other than Xcillion?

Gary,

some pages - as the start page - has the theme defined on page level, which overrides the site level setting. Could this be the reason?

Happy DNNing!

Is this the new default for DNN 9.x, having certain pages override the theme on a start from scratch install?  In all previous versions of DNN (at least going back to 2.x), when you made a clean install, the site theme would apply to every page by default.  If you wanted individual pages to override the theme you would have to do this after the install.  For what strange reason would this change be made to DNN to make this the default?

Certainly not new in 9. Definitely this has been done before at least for the default home page.

I *think* I first noticed it in V7 (whichever one had the bicycles as the default web site). I just assumed it made the default site look more like a 'real' site.

Best wishes,
