I first set up a blank dnn 9 site and then created a portal with a default template.
Then, I exported the template and resources from the old dnn 7 portal. I then tried to import that data over to the new dnn 9 portal. It did not change anything. (no new pages were added (nor listed in the pages tab). However, if I were export that dnn 9 portal in the report it would say those extra pages now exist.)
So, I tried to set up a new portal with it using the dnn 7 portal template that I exported. This time the pages were created and new info. However, the base default portal 0 now shows now shows this error message.
DotNetNuke.Web.Common.Internal.DotNetNukeHttpApplication - System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Should I be able to import an old dnn 07.01.02 template to dnn 9.0.1 portal or is that not a feature thats backwards compatibility?
