I wish to redirect URL traffic on previous website URLs (html extensions) to the new DNN URL. I tried creating rules in the web.config thus:
//---<rewrite>
      <rules>
        <rule name="Rewrite Rule 1" stopProcessing="true">
          <match url="^http://www.mydomain.com/slipper-style.html$" ignoreCase="false" />
          <action type="Redirect" url="http://www.mydomain.com/Footwear/Slipper-Style" redirectType="Permanent" />
        </rule>
              </rules>
    </rewrite>

--//
but I get a server config 500 error.

I am running DNN 8.0.4 Multiportal site so am assuming I should use the full URL
