Here's a nasty DNN 9 bug that I just ran into.

1. Create a new page
2. Add a HTML module to it
3. In the HTML designer, enter some incorrect/badly formed, syntax error style HTML. (I did this mistakenly originally...)
4. The HTML renders as best it can, but the errors in the HTML will prevent the page from going into edit mode from the Pencil button at the bottom of the screen.

As a work-around, I had to use the Pages menu on the PersonaBar, navigate to the page, and click the Edit button there, which put the page into edit mode, but now the "Edit Content" menu on the HTML module just displayed the contents, rather than put the module into edit mode.

Totally locked out.

In the end I had to delete the page from the Pages menu and start again.

Frustrating issue...

in pages tab of the persona bar, you should be able to delete the offending module from the page.
You might need to remove it from the recycle bin, to get it completely silent.
