Hello Everyone,

A few months ago we updatet our company website from DNN 7 to DNN 8.
And in DNN 8 we have a lot of problems with our Breadcrumbs.

Normally we created our own custom breadcrumb skin objects, but in DNN 8 it isn't recognized anymore. When we make changes in the original breadcrumb.ascx.cs file (I know it's not good) the changes are not visible on our website. Probably because DNN uses compiled .dll files instead of seperate .cs files in this version....

Can anyone give me a proper explanation or a simple how-to for creating a custom breadcrumb based on the original one in DNN 8?

Thanks in advance!

You can use DDR menu for a custom breadcrumb. Examples: http://demo.40fingers.net/dnn-ddr-dem...
(you can also download these example skins)

I have been using the DDR menu for breadcrumbs as well. Works great! This page has some good information to go along with Timo's: http://www.dnnsoftware.com/wiki/ddrme...
