DNN9.02

In previous versions of DNN, there was the ability to install a skin for a portal in addition to the host.  This apparently has been removed, which is a real problem when using skins from developers like DNNGo and EasyDnnSkins as they have created a utility to be able to change skin styles, colors, etc...  Because, as an admin, you are able to use these tools, and change these settings for the that skin and affect any other portal that is using the host installed skin.

I've taken this question to the skin developer and they suggested simply copying the skin, changing the name to one specific to the portal that will use it and then set that portal to use the copy.  This is a band aid, and still problematic, as an admin from another portal can still select this copy, and change the styles.

ARRGH!!

There are things that I really like about DNN9, but the issues we have been coming across really make it seem like it is not ready for production and should still be in beta.
