Sorry if this has already been posted, I couldn't find it in here myself. Also, this is in EVOQ, so I'm not sure if it is present in DNN or not.

I have a custom role specifically for managing users, but in DNN9 it wasn't able to use the old user admin module, and I didn't want to give it full administrator rights.
I found the blog post saying you could add permissions to the extensions, but multiple attempts at adding the role to the extension showed that it just wasn't saving.

That's the bug, the workaround is to manually add the role/extension to the PersonaBarMenuPermission table. I only had to specifcally add Permissions 1 & 2

EVOQ 9.0.2

Even after adding the Persona bar icons, the custom role still can't actually edit Profile Settings.
It shows the error message:  You are not authorized to edit this user.

Which also happens when I assign the Content Managers role. They can do nearly everything except edit the actual user profile. Which is frustrating, as we have custom user fields in there that the custom user admins need to edit. The only solid workaround I can think of is to add the option to "Log In As User" but that seems like even more of a security violation than giving these User Admins full Administer roles.
