I have localized DNN to Swedish and have a couple of Swedish resx files. 
When I soon upgrade to DNN 9.x, what is gonna happen with the localized contence if I just add the old resx files or keep them in place. 

There must be many new items (words and sentences) in 9.x that are not present in the 7.x resx files.
Will 9.x upgrade my Swedish resx files from 7.x to 9.x and add the new words/sentences unlocalized (red frame) or must I begin from the beginning and translate it all over again?

yes, whith DNN 9 you will have a lot of new keys to translate, but you might start with your current language pack.

Sebastian, 

7.2.0 is alredy localised to Swedish by me. My question is: must I enter all the Swedish contence from te beginning in the resource files or can I upgrade the 7.2.0 files to 9.0.1 and just add the new stuff i Swedish?

you can upgrade and add the missing keys - or you can make a new installation of DNN 9 and install the "old" language pack and then add the missing keys. After that, you can create an installation package for the new language pack and distribute if, if you want.

Thanks for clearing this out!

So my Swedish language files will "understand" that there are new keys in the new DNN version? Magic! This solvs a lot of work for me.
