Hi All

We are using version 7.4 and we use human friendly URLS due to a redirect which gets changed when we on advance (or is there a way i can not change a redirect which uses ? in advance) How would i redirect URLs using the taburls in database and make a permanent 301 redirect? I have access to the DB - i just need a little assistance with the actual values that i need to place in.

Also how would I remove the aspx from the end (if i do it with a URL rewrite rule it gets removed but i get other errors for example i cant change from edit mode to not edit mode so i would like advise on how i can do it - we have iis 8 and i have installed the URL rewriter module 2 for iis but the rule does not apply correctly there as well)

Kindly advise if there is a way i can achieve both these things.

Jason

AFAIK TabUrls table is only used for Advanced URL format, you might install X3 Url Management (https://dnnurlmanagement.codeplex.com) module to configure AUM settings and page URLs.

Hi

Thank you for that information - i have downloaded that module already and the thing that happens is i have a external web sign in that uses specific redirect links and when the page redirect it creates a url like www.domain.co.za/namespace?handler=123 and what happens is the url gets rewritten to www.domain.co.za/namespace/handler/123 and in the x3 module on my page i have removed the replacement items in which only the ? was but still it gets rewritten - is there a way you can guide me to how and where i will setup the rule to not rewrite these characters and then i can use the advanced URLS as they are alot better than the humanfriendly

Kindly advise how i will be able to acheive this with the advance urls.
