hi there, 

I'm running two portals on the same DNN installation and for both I'm unable to add new aliases. if I click add new alias I'm able to type in the name but when I click save nothing happens, the texbox is still there and that's it. I'm pretty sure that a month ago or so before we created the 2nd portal I added the 2nd domain to the 1st portal, and after setting up a few pages I deleted the alias from the 1st portal and added it to the 2nd one.

does anyone have an Idea?

What version of DNN is your site? I used to run into that occasionally, but not since 7.x+. The only other thing I can think of is that maybe the alias is still lingering in its previous association with the first portal. You might test adding a different alias that you haven't used before to see if you have the same issue.

did you try restarting the site and clearing local browser cache?

hi sebastian,
yes I already tried to restart site, clearing chache, change computer etc...

I noticed also that I don't see the edit and delete buttons in the host/admn extension page. We changed theme/skin a few weeks ago an befor that change I was able to see and use this buttons. I tired to change to our old skin and also to the standart skin only for this page and the buttons are there and working. I tried this also for the page where to change alias but nothing happens, it's still not possible to save a new alias.

Could this be an issue caused by the new theme? I have asked the developer of the theme and he gave me the answere: it's a dnn installaion issue......

I would like to hear your opinion before trying to switch back both portals to che old skin to check, because we have a big online shop running on our site wich is connected to a warehouse in germay and I have to plan the switch in a convenient period
