Hello (first post)

I am attempting to port a production site running DNN 4.9

I have everything setup but I get a error, something is causing localhost to end up as www.localhost.com

or if I try 127.0.0.1 I end up with www.127.0.0.1

it is driving me bananas.

I tried a clean install of DNN on localhost and everything worked great.

has anyone ever encountered this issue?

WIndows 10, IIS10, SQLExpress 2016 DNN 4.9

you need to make sure, the address you are using (either name or IP address) is associated with the website in database table PortalAlias.
