The site has been up and running fine including smtp.  I was just notified today that the smtp is not working.  When I went in to the smtp settings it showed 2 additional text boxes that I don't remember being their.

Please help as I have some modules that use smtp for functionality.

normally this is caused by your SMTP server settings, not DNN. I would suggest checking the protocols there. My guess is that the SMTP server does not allow anonymous connections and/or does not relay to your web server.

Happy DNNing!

One other thing with gmail that probably doesn't pertain to this instance, but may pertain for other instances. You may have to change your security settings to allow "less secure apps" if you are hooking in through DNN.
