I'm working on a project using dnnevents 6.1.4 and i'm facing those problemes:

  1. When you add a other dnnevents module to a website, i can't create new kategories or locations separately, all instances are sharing the same kategories and locations lists.
  2. When checking "Restricted categories", and try to add a new event, i'm getting that exception:

Error: DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection. Parameter name: index ---> System.ArgumentOutOfRangeException: Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection. Parameter name: index at System.Collections.ArrayList.get_Item(Int32 index) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Events.EditEvents.LoadCategory(Int32 category) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Events.EditEvents.LoadEvent() at DotNetNuke.Modules.Events.EditEvents.Page_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e) --- End of inner exception stack trace --

  3. Add an event or edit setting doesn't work on IE. I'm using iE 10, but it didn't work also with IE9.
  4. The event time is not correct, my portal is setup to UTC+1, and the same for the user, and the server, but when i save, the event it become on UTC+0. when i check "Enable Per Event Zones" under "Timezone setting". I can see the right time in the "Event Detail", but not in "Event Tooltip". The issue occured just in recurring events.

Thanks,

  1. This is the way it works. I would think there are request on codeplex to change this, but unfortunately on my part I have very little time available to enhance the module, most progress on enhancements request has pretty much halted. Sorry, it is just the way it is.
  2. Have you selected some categories in the filter events by category box? If not you need to.
  3. have you validated the module on a default skin. Almost invariably these problems are skin related, or some other pice de of JavaScript.
  4. How have you configured the primary/secondary display time zones? Are you using any sub calendars? Unless you plan to have a different timezone per event it is best not to us per event timezone, you could get the symptom you are describing which will be masking the real issue. I'd recommend deleting all events, then change and reset the Event Time Zone.

1- I will use the filter events by category, it works also great!

2- No error when selecting some categories in the filter events by category box, as an improvement the user shouldn't have the possiblity to check this box when no category is selected, or the user will not get an error and can add events with no category selected.

3- The problem is caused because IE convert special character in url to UTF-8 (hex), and that caused a problem with javascript function, and the modal window shows the first parent page after the page with special character, exemple in my site:

dnnModal.show('http://mysite.no/Forside/Felles-tjene...',/*showReturn*/false,550,950,true,'')

I solved the problem by replacing special characters by normal charaters in the url (%C3%B8 and %C3%A5)

4- As you recommended, i solved the problem by deleting all events, changing and resetting the Event TimeZone, and recycling application demain.

Thanks Roger,
