Oops. Note that in my example above, the page references were truncated. They should be

http://......./Donations/tabid/95/language/en-US/Default.aspx?donorID=53 and

http://.../Donaties/tabid/116/language/nl-NL/Default.aspx

Don't know why the truncation occurred.

If you are using Advanced URLs, you need to have a portal alias for each language. If the site was upgraded from an older version, and you switched to Advanced urls, you will need to add those aliases manually. Running without that will result in funky issues. The url's you pasted point to the fact that you do not use language specific aliases (because that would in general remove the "language" part from the URL

Thanks Erik; Clearly i am not using Advanced URL's and need to find out how to use portal aliases for each language. The site is brand new 7.2.1, has not really been deployed, and was installed by PowerDNN. Have read just a little about moving to canonical url's with 7.1 but know next to nothing about it. Can you point me in the right direction so that i can find out just what i need to do. Thanks

Hans
