it's in the first post - heres the relevant part (which based on the namespace suggests xcode):

System.Data.SqlClient.SqlConnection.TryOpen(TaskCompletionSource`1 retry) at System.Data.SqlClient.SqlConnection.Open() at XCode.DataAccessLayer.DbSession.Open() at XCode.DataAccessLayer.DbSession.BeginTransaction() --- End of inner exception stack trace --- at XCode.DataAccessLayer.DbSession.BeginTransaction() at XCode.Entity`1.Meta.BeginTrans() at XCode.Entity`1.DoAction(Func`1 func, Nullable`1 isnew) at XCode.Entity`1.Insert() at GiantConcepts.gc_Order`1.AddOrderRelevantInfo(Int32 portalid, Int32 serviceTypeID, Int32& orderid, Int32& orderServiceID, Int32& orderServiceInfoID, Boolean isNewAdd) at GiantConcepts.Service.PassportSmall.lkbContinue_Click(Object sender, EventArgs e) at

I guess I needed to encode the connection strings.. here I go again:

Chris, unfortunately my project is not that cool. The XCODE library I am building upon was built by a consulting firm in China. No relation to XCODE (apple). The comments are in Chinese too. This project is FUN (not). Anyway I can't seem to get rid of this intermittent error that occurs every 45 mins and sometimes there will be hours between the errors. I figure it has something to do with depleted resources and the "Login failed for user ''. Reason: An attempt to login using SQL authentication failed. Server is configured for Windows authentication only. [CLIENT: 127.0.0.1]" error is an indirect cry for help. Not sure tho. Any ideas? Thank you very much!

It's not the XCode IDE from Apple, it looks like a custom forms framework.

http://code.google.com/p/asxinyunet/s...

If that is the same framework in the call stack, the connection is set  on line 96 in DbBase.cs in the XCode project under DataAccessLayer\Common folder.

Steven, what modules are installed on your site that provide custom form features? I would look in that module and check the connection strings setup with it.

As your site is using a custom ORM solution (XCode) and we don't have any other reports of a similar issue, it would suggest the problem is with XCode - at a guess I'd say there is a classic software problem such as a race condition or threading problem that only shows up under load and causes the incorrect usage. As that type of thing is hard to debug you may be better off looking at doing module developer another way (e.g. using an integrated solution such as DAL2 - http://www.dnnsoftware.com/wiki/page/... )

Thank you for all the input guys... This does seem to be an xcode problem, could be various issues with scalability.. It is hard for me to debug as the previous developer did not have their xcode project attached, all I have is the dll. I might have to port some of the code over for testing to DAL2. Some of the codebase is already in there. This is a NIGHTMARE. Thank you guys very much for shedding some light on it and thank you Chris for the link to the non-apple XCODE project!
